1. Hiking and Biking Trails

The first thing Frisco is well known for is having 70 miles of trails for hiking, biking, and running. The most popular parks include Hope Park Frisco, Limestone Quarry Park, and Central Park Frisco. If you are looking for an inspiring and beautiful walk, check out Art Trail in the Texas Sculpture Garden. If the weather is nice many people picnic here. 

2. iFly Indoor Skydiving

If you want something a bit more adventurous check out iFly Indoor Skydiving. If you want to float and fly around without dropping from a plane this is the ideal adventure. You can book a ‘Love is in the air’ for a date night package for you and your significant other. They also have a super save package for anyone who would like the lowest price but is flexible on the day and time Monday-Friday. 

3. Canyons Rock Climbing

If you are looking to keep your feet on a hard surface but climb up, check out Canyons Rock Climbing. You can purchase a one-day pass for unlimited climbs, or you can purchase their membership to have access for several days, weeks, and months. The indoor rock climbing facility is a fun activity for all ages (including toddlers, age 2+).

4. The Cove at the Lakefront

If Frisco is having yet another bad weather day but you still want to have fun, check out The Cove at the Lakefront’s indoor water park. They have day passes but they also offer cabana rentals, swim lessons, toddler playtime, water exercise programs and even adult night outs. They also are a popular venue for birthday parties. 

5. Mountain Biking at Northwest Community Park

If you need a place to bring your mountain bike for off-road trails, check out Frisco’s mountain bike trail in Northwest Community Park. It has a total of 5 miles of trails and was developed in 2012. For easier mountain bike trails, we recommend the Ranger Loop or Coyote Loop. For an intermediate ride, we recommend the Wolverine trail. 

6. Go Ape Ziplining

If you are interested in a forest adventure, enjoy ziplining at Go Ape in Plano, just 10 miles southeast of Frisco. Ziplining is available for ages 10+. Additionally, the facility offers axe throwing, suspended obstacles, and Forest Escape – using outdoor problem-solving skills. 

7. Discover Kayak

Want to enjoy some water fun? Discover Kayak is in Frisco Kayak Park and is a great way to have fun and stay active. Discover Kayak offers guided tours and lessons for groups and individuals. For more advanced kayakers, you can kayak in the advanced class 4 and 5 section which is above Frisco Park. Enjoy some tranquil time on the water at Murrell Park Lake Grapevine, Jordan Park Lake Ray Roberts, or Mallard Park Lake Lavon.

8. Horseback Riding at Prospering Farm

If you want the authentic Texas experience, Prospering Farm offers horseback riding. They have summer camps, horseback riding lessons, and even horse shows. Kids ages 7-13 can enjoy week-long summer camps learning how to care for horses, and group-led horseback riding.
