Glaucoma Exams

As many as 3 million people have glaucoma in the United States. Glaucoma is known as a silent disease that does not show symptoms until the late stage of the disease. Because glaucoma is an irreversible loss of peripheral vision, any and all suspects for this disease must undergo baseline visual field testing annually. Dr. Yee is a glaucoma specialist that monitors all patients optic nerve and suggests visual field testing for all patients that are at risk. Glaucoma is a slow disease that must be carefully monitored with a series of tests. All patients that are high risk, are sent to an ophthalmologist for baseline OCT and GDX testing. Dr. Yee monitors patients via Optomap, visual field, IOP monitoring, and gonioscopy.
