Sunglasses Exam
Every person has a different eye color, different pupillary size and different amounts of retinal pigmentation. Because of these varying factors, everyone has a different level of light sensitivity. While some patients find indoor lights to be blinding, another might find complete comfort in walking outdoors when the sun is at it’s strongest. Because all patients are affected differently by light, Dr. Yee can assess whether Transitions, Polarized or 100% UV A/UV B protection would optimize a person’s eye protection. More research is showing how harmful UV light can be to the eyes, and thus more research is being developed on how best to protect the eye. If you would like to know more please ask the doctor and opticians.
