What if I can't see with my new contacts?

If your contact lenses initially fit well but later cause blurriness or discomfort, several factors might be at play. Seasonal changes, windy conditions, pollution, and high allergy levels can all affect lens comfort, making some days less ideal for wear. Discomfort with clear vision may indicate dryness or inflammation of the ocular surface. Use the recommended eye drops or schedule a new exam if the issue persists.

What if my new contacts hurt or dry out faster than usual?

We can refit you with lenses that are thinner, offer more oxygen, or retain moisture better. If discomfort persists, we recommend a visit to our dry eye clinic for proper treatment.

What if I haven't received my contacts yet?

Contact our office for updates. Delays in contact lens production can occur, but we will provide trial lenses if needed until your order arrives.

What if my contact lens rebate did not go through?

Contact our office, and we will follow up with the contact lens representative and get back to you within 24 hours.

Can I place an order for contacts?

Yes, if you use Alcon or Johnson & Johnson lenses, you can re-order through email. For CooperVision or Bausch + Lomb lenses, contact us for a quote.

What if I can't see with the glasses I just bought?

Experiencing blurred or distorted vision with new glasses is normal. Give your eyes time to adjust to the new lenses. If discomfort continues, adjusting the fit or prescription may help. Wear the glasses for 7-10 days, and note any changes in comfort. If issues persist, visit our office for adjustments.

What if my frames hurt that I just bought?

Your comfort is our top priority. Visit our optical center for a frame adjustment. If the issue cannot be resolved with adjustments, we will happily exchange your frames for a more comfortable fit.

What if I don't like the way the frames or lenses that I just bought look?

If you are unhappy with the lens thickness or anti-reflective coating, we can offer upgrades to thinner lenses or a different coating. Consult with our opticians to explore your options.

Are my glasses ready yet?

We use a daily-updated spreadsheet to track the production stages of your glasses. If it has been longer than 5-10 days without a notification, please contact us, and we will follow up within 24 hours.

My frame broke but I heard it's under warranty. What counts under the warranty?

If your frames broke within a year of purchase, we offer a free replacement, provided the damage is not due to clear abuse, such as bite marks or extreme heat. Contact us to review your options.

The lenses I bought from your practice scratched even with the anti-reflective treatment. Is it under warranty?

Yes, Hoya will replace your scratched lenses for up to a year as long as the damage is not caused by bite marks or teeth marks.

My frames don't fit like they used to. What should I do?

We recommend visiting our office every six months for adjustments. Frames naturally go out of alignment over time, and we can readjust them to fit you properly.

Is my insurance open and what’s my copay?

We want our patients to be informed about their insurance. We typically look up insurance information two days before the appointment. Let us know if you need this information before the appointment.

Why do I have a balance from an office visit?

Medical insurance can be confusing. While we look up copays before exams, additional costs may occur due to deductibles. If we overcharge, we refund the patient or keep a credit on their account.

Can I have a copy of my prescription/fee slip/optomap/exam?

We will provide any requested information, but due to HIPAA, we can only email documents to the HIPAA-approved email on file. Alternatively, we can hand you the documents or mail them to you.

What if I didn’t like the optician that sold the glasses?

If you are not satisfied with your optician, let us know and we will pair you with another optician. Your satisfaction is our priority, and we want to ensure you receive the best service possible.
